By using four LTE modems and a GPS receiver, the Multichannel VPN Router 511/512 series makes high bandwidths and fail-safe data connections available for ultra-mobile use.
The four permanently installed LTE/DC-HSPA+/EDGE/GPS modems guarantee optimum utilization of all available mobile radio bandwidths.
The latest mobile communications standard LTE - also known as 4G - is already available in many countries around the world.
LTE represents the state of the art in mobile technology and therefore offers long-term future security.
Especially in mobile use, the LTE modems guarantee an uninterrupted mobile connection everywhere thanks to the additional support of the UMTS and GSM mobile radio standards. The transition between different mobile communications standards is seamless. The best available connection is used in each case. Thanks to the GPS function, the current location of the router can also be read out in the administration tool at any time. This geo-tracking is very helpful for efficient fleet or vehicle fleet management.
SIM cards from different mobile network providers can be used in four card holders, even across national borders, to supply coaches, trains, ships, commercial and construction site vehicles, cars with professional multimedia equipment and much more. The integrated W-LAN access point with 2.4 or 5 GHz (dual band) makes the available bandwidth available to any user.
Other areas of application include the connection of event venues, video transmission via backpack-style transmission stations as a replacement for OB vans, or the highly available and encrypted connection of emergency vehicles with sovereign tasks (police, fire department, military, rescue services). This router also makes it easy to provide fast and fail-safe data connections outside the coverage area of wired Internet access.
The Multichannel VPN Routers 511/512 are characterized by a robust and energy-saving design.
As a ready-to-use solution, they are supplied with 12 antennas (8x LTE, 3x W-LAN and 1x GPS). Alternatively, external MIMO antennas can also be connected to the eight SMA sockets. They therefore meet all the requirements for a fast and highly available Internet connection for a wide range of applications.
As different frequencies are used for the fourth generation of mobile networks, there are different models in the series, each designed for a specific region.
For example, the 511 model is currently designed for use in North America, while the 512 model is designed for use in Europe and Australia.
