Ascend supports Social Innovation Hackathon in Bamberg with technical equipment

"We are delighted with the successful event and the great support from ASCEND," says Meike Gleiß from bytabo® GmbH. The projects that were worked on intensively included

• the "Bamama" campaign, which needs an Internet portal that provides mothers with a migration background with the most important information about pregnancy and motherhood in Germany in simple words and pictures - for example, about free preventive examinations that are not available in other countries.
• the "Bambecher - less waste in Bamberg" campaign, which has set itself the ambitious goal of completely ridding Bamberg of discarded coffee-to-go cups by 2023 with new logistics and marketing strategies
• the "Bambike - Bamberg Bike Sharing" campaign, which aims to make bicycles available free of charge throughout Bamberg and have them repaired by AEO helpers to enable sustainability and relieve traffic congestion
• "Gaia - Tinder dir Dein Ehrenamt", a portal that uses a short online questionnaire to bring committed people together with the right volunteer and
• Josefslädchen and "Freund statt fremd", which are also looking for volunteers and are looking for digital ways to find people willing to help

Even though the projects could not be developed to market maturity in the 10 hours that the Social Innovation Hackathon lasted, the final presentations showed great results. The winning group was awarded a voucher for a digital detox weekend in Franconian Switzerland.
